HV3 Mentorship Program
Launched in Fall 2024, the HV3 and First Tee — Triangle Mentorship Program connects young participants with caring mentors who guide, inspire, and support them in achieving their goals on and off the course. Each month, we host fun, engaging events for mentors and mentees to enjoy together, alongside other mentors-mentee pairs. Events include sporting events, volunteering trips, and so much more!
For Mentees:
Eligibility Requirements: To apply, youth participants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Been a participant with First Tee — Triangle for at least one year
- Active and current in First Tee — Triangle programming
- Able to commit a minimum of 2 hours a month

For Mentors:
Eligibility Requirements: To become a mentor, applicants must:
- Be at least 23 years old
- Commit to a minimum of 2 hours per month
- Be able to commit to the program for at least one year
- Complete and pass a background check

- How do I sign up to become involved? To get started, please contact Darian Natividad at [email protected]. She will provide you with the application and next steps.
- Are the monthly events mandatory? No, attendance at monthly events is not mandatory, but it is strongly encouraged. These events are a great way for mentos and mentees to connect in a group setting and build relationships within the program.
- What is the age requirement to become a mentor? Mentors must be at least 23 years old.
- What is the age requirement to become a mentee? Mentees must be 10 years old and enrolled within a First Tee Program class for at least 6 months to join.
- Do I need golf experience to become a mentor? No golf experience is required! While a few events include golf outings, the program welcomes all backgrounds.
