Bob Scott
Bob is a native of St. Albans, WV and graduated from West Virginia State College with a degree in Economics. Bob and Lynn have been married for 55 years and have two children, Jeff Scott and his wife Delores, and Joanna Crist and her husband Steve, and two grandchildren, Madelyn and Abbey.
Bob has enjoyed two careers, working for both USDOT Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and The Rex Healthcare Foundation. In 1986, while working for the FHWA, Bob was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine by Governor Jim Hunt for his work on the relocation of the Crest Street Community in Durham. Bob retired from the FHWA in 1997.
After volunteering at the Rex Classic ProAm for nine years, Bob was offered a job at the Rex Healthcare Foundation in 1997. For 14 years, he managed the Rex Classic ProAm, which became the Rex Hospital Open in 2005. Bob retired from Rex in 2010.
After retiring from Rex, Bob was asked to serve on the Board of Directors of First Tee — Triangle. Bob served from 2011 to 2017 and served as Board Chairman in 2015. Working with the Board and Brandon Baker, President/CEO, he helped begin the quest to find a permanent home for First Tee — Triangle.
Bob is an avid golfer and he and Lynn have been members of North Ridge Country Club for 40 years. Bob has served on the North Ridge Board of Governors on three different occasions and was President of the Board in 1990.
